To be eligible to enter Grom Search events you must of the specified age or under as of the 25th January, 2011. Eg To enter the 16 and under division you cannot turn 17 or older on or before the 25th January, 2011. All divisions are limited, with entry allocated on a first in first served basis. Participants may enter two divisions in all events as long as they satisfy the age clarifications and pay the entry fee for both divisions. However, if there is pressure on the entry numbers in a division, competitors in two divisions can be asked to give up their spot in their second chosen division

Multiple division entry is permitted.
Under 16 Male, Under 16 female, Under 14 , Under 12, Under 14 Girls, Under 12 Girls

$49.50 (inc. GST) per division

 

Meet 7.30am Clifton Surfclub carpark both days, the event will be fully mobile in the South Arm Area.(Hobart airport and city centre are approx 20 mins from Clifton Beach)

Most potential venues dont have nearby food facilities, ensure you bring clothing for all temperature ranges, in November this can be between 10-30 degree maximums. Water temperature, a 3/2 steamer should be sufficient.

The Rip Curl GromSearch is a worldwide series of events designed especially for grommets. From Australia to America it gives groms the centre stage to show everyone what they've got.

The GromSearch series is all about getting male and female surfers down the beach with their friends to surf in a relaxed and fun environment.

At the same time it gives grommets the competitive experience needed for further development in their surfing careers.

The Australian series is made up of seven events around the nation with the winner of the premier 16's division winning an all expenses paid invite to the Rip Curl Pro Surf & Music Festival at Bells around Easter.

The GromSearch series has seen some incredible surfers on the winners list including Stephanie Gilmore, Jordy Smith, Ben Dunn, Matt Wilkinson, Owen Wright, Sally Fitzgibbons and Laura Enever.

Entry is easy and available now so get onto it and who knows, you may end up winning a trip to the Rip Curl Pro at Bells.
