Where are you located?
9 Barclay Drive, Casuarina NSW which is 15 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport and 30 minutes north of Byron Bay.

What level surfer do I need to be?
Private sessions cater for a wide variety of ability levels – from surfers who have just started trimming down the line, through to surfers performing committed manoeuvres. Our main requirement is that you can paddle yourself out the back and catch waves without any assistance from a coach in the water. What is the schedule for the day?
Please note that the below schedule is subject to change around surf conditions.

• 08.30am: Welcome/Coach Intro
• 08:45am: Surfing session 1
• 11.45am: Break for lunch
• 12:15pm: Surf Specific Mobility
• 12.45pm: Video analysis
• 01.15pm: Skateboard training session (optional)
• 01.45pm: Surfing session 2
• 03.30pm: Video analysis
• 04.00pm: Recovery session
• 04:30pm – Day ends

I have friends who want to join me, can I share the session with them?
Yes. You can add up to 3 additional surfers at the below rates:

• 1 surfer = $600
• 2 surfers = $350 per surfer
• 3 surfers = $250 per surfer
• 4 surfers = $200 per surfer

If you have more than 4 surfers in your group, contact us and we can confirm availability and rates for a second coach.

I’m also considering a camp, what’s the difference?
The coaching services you receive on both options are very similar but private sessions are much more personalised to the individual versus a camp that will have up to 4 surfers. Please note that surf mobility and recovery sessions are not available on a Weekend Adult Surf Camp so if you are interested in these sessions, consider a 3 or 5 Day Adult Surf Camp.

Where will we surf?
Our coaches will always try to find the most suitable waves for coaching on the Tweed Coast which has plenty of options for different wind and swell directions. Sessions generally run at Casuarina, Cabarita, Kingscliff or Hastings Point but we can also access Duranbah, Snapper Rocks and Kirra.

What happens if there’s no surf?
If we’re not confident that conditions will allow us to get coaching outcomes, you will receive a full credit to reschedule for another session within the next 12 months.

Do I need to bring a board?
We strongly recommend bringing at least 1 board so your coach can review what you normally ride. You will also have access to our Surfboard Empire Demo Centre which has 50 boards from Lost, Pyzel, LSD, Cabianca and Rusty. Boards are available for hire at $25 per day.

What time does the day start and finish?
8.30am to 4.30pm NSW time (please note NSW time is 1 hour ahead of QLD time during daylight savings).

What is the best time of year to come?
The Tweed Coast offers great surf conditions year-round but we find February to August the most consistent.
