- Payment of the $55 renewal fee
- Completion of the Foundation Surf Coach Renewal course in the Surfing Learning Centre
- Current Ocean Safety qualification (Surf Life Saving Certificate, Bronze Medallion, Ocean Safety Surf Coach Award or equivalent. Surfers Rescue 24/7 course does not qualify)
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) qualifications
- Current Working With Children Check
- Completion of the Child Protection and Safeguarding course in the Surfing Learning Centre
- Current state association membership
Progression Surf Coaching Renewal
- Payment of the $55 renewal fee
- Completion of the Progression Surf Coach Renewal course in the Surfing Learning Centre
