Have Your Say: Play Our Way Participant Survey

Surfing Australia is inviting women and girls to share their experiences through the Play Our Way Participant Survey, designed to understand inclusion, accessibility, and equity in surfing.

Last year, Surfing Australia received $1 million in federal funding through the Australian Government’s Play Our Way Program. This program works to break down barriers that have historically hindered women and girls’ participation and development in surfing.

With this support, Surfing Australia is delivering initiatives that expand participation, visibility, and pathways in surfing from grassroots participation to coaching and judging roles.

The survey is a key first step in rolling out these initiatives. Surfing Australia encourages all women and girls involved in surfing athletes, coaches, judges, volunteers, parents, supporters, state and boardrider club members to provide honest feedback and highlight areas where improvements are needed.

All responses are completely anonymous, and the survey only takes 5 minutes.

The survey closes Sunday, 2nd November 2025.
