Seaford Boardriders Club have been crowned South Australian champions at the Australian Boardriders Battle (ABB) Regional Series qualifier, finishing 3.64 points ahead of South Coast Boardriders at Waitpinga Beach to secure their place at the 2027 ABB Grand Final.
The South Australian ABB qualifier brought together the state’s leading boardriders clubs, with teams battling across the day for regional bragging rights and qualification for the 2027 Australian Boardriders Battle Grand Final, set to take place at Burleigh Heads, Queensland, in March 2027.
Seaford’s victory adds to the club’s strong recent form, following its historic run to the semi-finals of the 2026 NRMA Insurance ABB Grand Final at Burleigh Heads, the best result ever achieved by a South Australian club at the event.
South Coast Boardriders backed up their 2025 ABB regional title victory with another strong performance, securing their place at the 2027 ABB Grand Final.
The event saw standout individual performances, with Dion Atkinson claiming the Boost Mobile Wave of the Day award with an impressive 8.2-point ride.
With both Seaford and South Coast now set to represent the state at the 2027 ABB Grand Final, South Australian surfing will once again be represented on the biggest club surfing stage in the country.
