Surfing Australia Head of Pathway Programs, Luke MacDonald, said:

We were really excited by the number of applications and the level of surfing shown by young athletes from right across Australia. The depth we’re seeing in the junior boys is really promising for the future of Australian surfing, and it made for a very challenging selection process. We’re thrilled with the group selected and look forward to introducing the boys to elements of the high-performance environment at the upcoming camp later this month.

Talent Pathway Coach Peter Duncan added:

“With the recent dominance of Australian surfing on the world stage, it’s an exciting time for the sport. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the next generation of boys are doing and providing them with the opportunity to step into a high performance surfing environment and continue building that legacy.”
