WE HAVE EVERY TOOL AT OUR DISPOSAL TO HELP YOU BECOME A BETTER SURFER

Adult Surf Camps have been refined over 15+ years working with recreational surfers of all ages and ability levels.

    VIDEO ANALYSIS

Have you ever seen yourself surfing on film? While it can be humbling, video footage is a powerful tool to show you exactly what you’re doing on a wave and how you can improve.

Each surfing session is filmed and followed by wave-by-wave analysis with our coaches who use slow-motion replays, digital drawings and split-screen comparisons to help you learn correct technique.

    TRAINING & RECOVERY

Each day you’ll participate in low-impact training sessions that focus on breathing, stretching and mobility to improve your surfing fitness and reduce the risk of injury.

You’ll also have access to our iCool dual-temp recovery baths (ice bath) and infrared sauna for daily recovery sessions to prevent muscle soreness and fatigue.

    DEMO SURFBOARDS

Getting on the right equipment is very important but so many surfers get it wrong.

Our demo centre has a selection of 50 surfboards from some of the world’s best shapers so if your equipment is letting you down, our coaching team can get you on the perfect board and fin combination.

    SKATEBOARD DRILLS

Skateboard training drills simulate the same movements as surfing but with a much higher volume of repetitions, allowing you to really fine-tune your technique.

We use a combination of normal skateboards, carve boards, flat ground and skate ramps to cater for all skill levels – even first-time skaters.

    JET SKI ASSIST

The jet ski helps us get your wave count up, maximise attempts for a particular manoeuvre and chase high quality waves away from the crowd.

Please note that jet ski assist is not available on novice camps and will only be used on intermediate and advanced camps when surf conditions are deemed safe by our team.

    AUSTRALIA'S BEST COACHES

Our team of Surfing Australia accredited surf coaches are highly skilled and incredibly passionate about helping surfers break through their plateaus with practical, achievable coaching advice.

You’ll also have an Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) accredited coach overseeing all of your training and recovery sessions.

WE’VE HELPED THOUSANDS OF SURFERS JUST LIKE YOU…

“Coaching at the HPC was astonishingly helpful. Even for old salty dads, that don’t get out enough anymore, like our crew. The motivation and reinvigoration from staying at the training centre was also a significant experience for us all. It’s amazing that we can train under the same roof as our future Australian surfing champions.”

    Oliver Loughlin

“After a decade of surfing, I felt like I had hit a plateau but this camp was the breakthrough I needed. The video coaching was a game-changer for me! Having a coach analyse and point out my mistakes helped me understand what I was doing wrong and how to correct it. It shifted my approach to surfing and made me more confident and focused in the water.”

    Jojo Alpers

“I’m a dad of three young boys and unfortunately, surfing has taken a back seat to life. Returning to the HPC for the second time has absolutely renewed my confidence and my passion for surfing. The coaching is world-class, both in and out of the water. I can’t speak highly enough of the facilities, accommodation, coaching and overall guest experience.”

    Justin Hyland

“I had an incredible experience at the HPC! The coaches were not only incredibly friendly but also highly skilled. Their coaching techniques and tips were invaluable and played a significant role in progressing my surfing abilities. I went in as an intermediate surfer, and with their guidance, I felt like I made leaps and bounds in my skill level.”
