Event One of the Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle series wraps up on the Gold Coast

GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND (Saturday 28 August 2021) – Snapper Rocks Boardriders has taken out the first event of the 2021 Hyundai Australian Boardriders Battle at Tallebudgera Beach on the Gold Coast.

Snapper Rocks Boardriders won the final with a total point score of 32.77, followed by North Shore Boardriders (32.43), Burleigh Heads Boardriders (30.16) and Kawana Boardriders (22.99).

Snapper Rocks surfer, Raya Campbell, said the exciting finish was a great way to end the day.

“Team events are pretty nerve-wracking. You’re not just surfing for yourself, you’re surfing for all of your friends too.”

“It’s been a fantastic day. It’s such a unique event and everyone looks forward to competing in it each year.”
