Published on 14/02/2022

Round 1 of the 2022 Woolworths Junior State Titles presented by GLOBE kicked off over the weekend. Parsons delivered some punchy 3-4 surf with the odd bomb sets offering up some challenging conditions
for the groms.

Corey Taylor (Yorkes) and Poppy Sweetman (Middleton) dominated the U18 division with impressive surfing and both dropping excellent scores in their heats. James Jervis (Port Lincoln) and Maia Taite (Seaford) took out the U16 Divisions with some solid surfing. Standouts in the U14 groms were Mitchell Henderson (Christie’s) and Keira Hunt (Kingston Park) who took first in their respective divisions.

The three-round Woolworths Junior Series presented by GLOBE caters for both boys and girls divisions for under 14’s through to under 18’s and forms the selection criteria for state representatives attending the 2022 Junior Nationals Tiles later this year.
