For Immediate Release:

The third and final round of the Woolworths Victorian Juinor Surfing Titles will this weekend head to the fabled Surf Coast to crown state champions in U14 to U18 divisions.

The key selection pathway to the Australian Junior Surfing Titles, the event is a gathering of the best up and coming surfers from across the state including the key surfing regions of Phillip Island, Mornington Peninsula, Bellarine and the Surf Coast.

The Under 18 Boys Division will be one to watch with local surfer Ethan Huxtable (Jan Juc) and Bellarine surfer Charlie Mahoney (Barwon Heads) headed for a showdown to claim the state title.

Both surfers are sitting with a first place in the rankings and the surfer that places higher will have the best shot at taking the title.

Asher Lens (Jan Juc) will also have a chance of taking the U18 Boys title, however he is required to win the event and Huxtable and Mahoney to exit the event early.

Other surfers to look for include Sara Hickson (Rye) and Meave Wilkinson (Inverloch) in the U14 Girls, Jerry Kelly (Barwon Heads) and Jarvis Barrow (Jan Juc) in the U14 Boys, Isla Huppatz (Jan Juc) and Sarsha Pancic (Blairgowrie) in the U16 Girls.

The event will kick off at Jan Juc at 7.30am on Saturday with Finals slated for Sunday.
