ISA Enhances Digital Experience with New Website Launch

La Jolla, California, May 18, 2021 – The International Surfing Association (ISA) has today launched a new, modernized website that will usher in the next era of Surfing for the sport’s Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020 and beyond. Following the launch of the ISA’s new brand identity, the new site creates an attractive, youthful and relevant destination for surfing as well as fans new to the sport. Serving as the main hub of content for the upcoming Surf City El Salvador ISA World Surfing Games (May 29 – June 6), the new site will also be a source of information for the Tokyo 2020 Games where fans will be able to follow stories and content produced by the ISA on site including photos, news, live results, the medal table, and schedules. 

ISA President Fernando Aguerre said: “With Surfing ready to step in the Olympic Games, we seized this opportunity to update our digital footprint. The new website creates an effective and friendly online user experience. This site will further connect the global surf community that extends through all our members federations on all continents of the globe. “Our new site uses a mobile-friendly approach that simultaneously caters to the endemic and nonendemic fans. With the Olympic spotlight soon to shine on the sport, we expect many new fans, so it is important to educate them on our sport and our mission to make a better world through surfing. “We have implemented an all-encompassing approach where all our content can coexist, such as live streaming events, consuming video content, reading the latest news, register for ISA Courses, or connect with our network of Member Nations. “We are looking forward to warmly hosting and informing our audience with this new digital experience as we continue on the road to Tokyo.”
