Titles at Bells Beach on Wadawurrung Country postponed

Published on 27/05/2021
Surfing Victoria have postponed this weekend’s Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles  presented by Rip Curl and Headsox due to newly implemented COVID19 restrictions in Victoria.

The event was due to be held at Bells Beach on Wadawurrung Country on May 28th – 30th, 2021 after being postponed in 2020 due to the COVID19 pandemic.

“This is obviously a disappointing outcome, however the health and safety of competitors, staff and the community is our top priority” said Surfing Victoria CEO Adam Robertson.

“We hope to re-schedule the event to later in the year so we can continue the tradition of this incredible event.”

“Thank you to all competitors and event partners for their patience and understanding.”

Further information on new dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles is presented by Rip Curl and Headsox and supported by the Victorian Government, Surf Coast Events, VicHealth, Surfing Australia, Play it Safe by the Water, Waddawurrung Traditional Owners, Narana Aboriginal Cultural Center, VACSAL, Yakeen Safety and Woolworths.
