Younger divisions hit the water at the NSW Junior State Titles

Published on 22/11/2021

SANDON POINT, WOLLONGONG (Sunday, 21 November 2021): Surfers in the Under-14 division got their opportunity to shine in playful two-foot surf today as the Woolworths NSW Junior State Titles pres. by Ocean and Earth shifted back to Sandon Point.

Ocean Lancaster (Merewether) bought his knowledge of long righthand pointbreaks down to Sandon Point today as he proceeded to post a near-perfect 9.60 wave score, as well as an excellent 8.00 to claim his second-round heat. Lancaster approached the long walls of Sandon Point with maturity and style today as he posted the aforementioned score and cemented a position into the third round.

Manly native Ruby Trew showed why she is considered one of the states best up and coming female surfers as she nailed a handful of inspiring backhand snaps and carves to finish her round two heat with a respectable 12.50 two-wave heat total. As a result, Trew will make her next appearance in the semi-finals.

All Under-14 champions will be crowned tomorrow.
